Movie Synopsys:

The Ambush was filmed in 1969. That same year, after a very successful presentation and awards at the Pula and Venice film festivals (with the Golden Lion), it was prohibited from public viewing. Thirty five years later, we are assured of its permanent artistic value and the fact that this film is even more relevant today than when it was made.

The film deals with the time of enthusiasm and revolutionary fervor in Serbia right after the Second World War, when the newly liberated country and new government were still threatened by remnants of so-called enemies and anti-revolutionary Chetnik groups.
